Celtic Wedding Recessionals Solo Violin

The following six Irish and Scottish traditional tunes were recorded on 6/20/2019 by Dorothea Barth. They have been especially selected to make lively and jubilant recessionals for couples who wish to incorporate an Irish/Scottish theme for their wedding.

Suggestion: Select your favorite tune for your recessional, and I can include some of the other tunes as Postlude after the recessional ends. I typically play 10-15 minutes of Postlude music after the ceremony ends, while you greet your guests or take photos.

  • Play Mari's WeddingMari's WeddingDownload Mari's WeddingMari's Wedding

Mari's Wedding is used both in Irish and Scottish traditional music and is a popular and joyful standard.

  • Play The BridalThe BridalDownload The BridalThe Bridal

The Bridal is an upbeat Irish jig, which I've previously used as a wedding recessional.

  • Play Scottland The BraveScottland The BraveDownload Scottland The BraveScottland The Brave

This famous Scottish march is often played by bagpipers.  It is one of several songs often considered an unofficial Scottish national anthem.

  • Play Loch TorridonLoch TorridonDownload Loch TorridonLoch Torridon

This is a lively Scottish reel, named after a sea lake on the West coast of Scottland in the Northwest Highlands

  • Play Rights of ManRights of ManDownload Rights of ManRights of Man

This is a lively Irish hornpipe

  • Play The Bonny Lass o'FyvieThe Bonny Lass o'FyvieDownload The Bonny Lass o'FyvieThe Bonny Lass o'Fyvie

This lively tune is a Bothy ballad, a genre of songs sung by farm labourers in the northeast region of Scotland.
