Julia and Jason

Below are audio previews of your ceremony music (two processionals and recessional).

For the processionals, we selected two of the most lyrical selections from our anthology Playford Promenade: Music for Weddings and Grand Occasions:
- "The Princess's Court" for the wedding party processional
-  "The Princess" for the bridal processional.

For the recessional at end of ceremony, we selected:

- "Rejoicing" (La Rejouissance) from the Royal Fireworks Music by Handel.  It's  exuberant and we think a great choice for the English theme!

  • Play Wedding Party Processional: The Princess's CourtWedding Party Processional: The Princess's CourtDownload Wedding Party Processional: The Princess's CourtWedding Party Processional: The Princess's Court

.The entire wedding party will enter to  "The Princess's Court":
    - Groom and groom's father
    - Groom's mom and brother
    - Bride's mom and brother

The music will end when all members of the wedding party have reached the altar or arch (or a few seconds thereafter to reach a graceful cadence).

  • Play Bridal Processional: The PrincessBridal Processional: The PrincessDownload Bridal Processional: The PrincessBridal Processional: The Princess

The bride will enter to "The Princess." Please wait until the previous processional ends before entering. The music will end when the bride has reached the altar or arch (or a few seconds thereafter to reach a graceful cadence).

The recessional will play in its entirety while the wedding party exits.

Tips for a Smooth, Stately, and Stunning Wedding Processional

1.   Slow is better. Don't hurry        down the aisle! Anticipate and enjoy the beautiful walk.

2.   If you reach the altar or arch before the music ends, don't worry! The music may continue a few measures to reach a graceful cadence.

3.   The musicians will "go silent" approximately 2 minutes before the first processional. If there is an unanticipated delay before the start of ceremony, designate someone to inform the musicians. Be as specific as possible, i.e., "play 10 more minutes, " or "play two more songs." This will avoid awkward silences while your guests await your arrival.

4.   If the wedding party is entering from a place that is difficult to spot or out of view, you may wish to assign someone to approach the musicians and inform them the ceremony is about to begin. That way, there will be no ambiguity.

5.   If possible, let the musicians know what the officiant's last words will be before the recessional begins. Generally, it is the introduction of the bride and groom, but because this is not always the case, it is best to be certain. The musicians may also check with the officiant if the opportunity is available before the ceremony.

Our outline for your wedding music:

1. Prelude music before ceremony: Selections from Playford Promenade: Music for Weddings and Grand Occasions.

2. Ceremony music:  See audio previews above.

3. Reception music. We think it would be lovely to maintain the English theme and will include:

- Upbeat English Country Dance tunes

- Selections from English Baroque composers such as Handel and Purcell

- We can include some more contemporary ballads by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Lennon-McCartney
