The Prelude music, performed while your guests arrive, includes 30 minutes of repertory, generally from the Baroque, Classical, and 19th century Romantic eras. For the Prelude, Dorothy presents an artful mix of contemplative and elegantly upbeat selections. 

For the optional meditation or candle lighting, an abbreviated version of one  of the more lyrical compositions is ideal.
 
There is no need to select specific prelude music. Dorothea knows what music transitions well to the next selection and will keep in mind the bride and groom's musical tastes when selecting traditional prelude music or, in case of theme weddings, music from the Celtic or Renaissance repertory. Below is a partial list of repertory available for traditional preludes.
